Julita Liauw Eleveld

Julita Liauw Eleveld was born and raised in northern New Jersey, but other than a two-year stint in investment banking in New York City, 6 months backpacking around the world, and a year as a Fulbright Scholar in Singapore, she has lived on the West Coast for 30+ years. She worked in brand and product management in California, then spent the last 20 years of her career in nonprofits and philanthropy in Seattle, where she was a founding staff and board member of Seattle Girls School, ran the University of Washington’s Nancy Bell Evans Center on Nonprofits & Philanthropy, and built the initial Giving Pledge community and oversaw efforts to support and grow philanthropy in India, China, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia while at the Gates Foundation. She holds a BA from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford University. These days, you’re most likely to find Julita playing tennis, eating with her husband, swimming, traveling with or to visit her 3 adult children, playing bridge and mahjong, or hanging out with her two Labrador Retrievers.
