Meghan Banta
Meghan Banta grew up in the PNW, returning in 2011 to raise her children on Mercer Island. Professionally, she spent 15 years in healthcare improvement work, leaving her role overseeing supply chain at Swedish Health System in 2023 after the Covid pandemic. She spent years in finance and data analytics, driving patient outcome improvement work while targeting systemic cost savings. In 2023, Meghan returned to school at University of Texas, Austin to earn a Masters in Healthcare Admin and Transformation. Meghan is passionate about giving back locally, with a focus on improving public education, working on local political campaigns, addressing supports for families of children with disabilities, and utilizing community resources to lift up women and children experiencing homelessness. At the center of this work, Meghan is known as a “connector”, always introducing people across her network where synergies are natural, most especially when it benefits those in need or small business owners. Past board experience includes work as the President of the board of the Mercer Island Schools Foundation, Vice President of Lakeridge Elementary PTA, and working alongside her husband on the board of Kindering Center for the last ten years. Meghan and her husband Phil live on Mercer Island with their two kids – Jack and June, and their two rescue dogs, Bear and Bailey. Their family is passionate about giving back, with their kids often driving community efforts. Otherwise, you can find them involved in youth sports, as coaches or teammates, working in the garden, or traveling together.
