The Pitch Your Peers Seattle grant process is a member-driven, women-led annual cycle where PYP members research, champion, and “pitch” local Washington-based 501(c)(3) nonprofits that directly serve King County. Members who choose to pitch act as the nonprofit’s representative—gathering information, preparing the presentation, and hosting both virtual and in-person exploration sessions so the full membership can learn about each organization. After a nomination period, up to three nonprofits are selected to move forward, followed by pitch night, where each presenter delivers a 15-minute live pitch. Members then spend several weeks exploring all three nonprofits in depth before casting their vote, ensuring the final granting decision is informed, equitable, and community-driven. Best of all—every nonprofit pitched receives a grant, with amounts awarded based on the final vote.
