Erin Krawiec
President | Co-Founder | Board Member | Technology Chair
Erin Krawiec grew up in Southern California. She moved to Mercer Island in 2015 and was a Seattleite for over 10 years before that. She is currently the CEO of her home and manages the lives of three active kids. Erin has a B.S. degree from UCLA and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management and has over 14 years of professional experience. Most recently, as an Associate Director at Navigant Consulting, Erin served as an expert witness and testified in corporate litigations on matters related to economic damages, accounting, finance, and business strategy and marketing. Before that, she founded WebWisher.com, an online gift registry for kids and worked in various business roles in the high-tech industry. Erin was chronicled by Fortune magazine in four issues between June 1999 and March 2001 and appeared on the May 2000 cover. Erin volunteers as a wish-granter and sits on the Corporate Advisory Council for Make-A-Wish’s Alaska and Washington Chapter. Erin served as the President of the Mercer Island Community Fund Board of Directors for four years through 2022 and led the WeLoveMI Covid Relief campaign in 2020. She is also an active volunteer and involved in the PTAs at her kids’ schools. Erin enjoys interior decor, travel, yoga, and skiing.
Sarah Morris
Board Member | Social Chair | Nonprofit Support Liaison
Born in Vancouver, BC and raised in Seattle, Sarah attended the University of Portland where she holds a B.S. in Social work, with an emphasis in Criminology and Psychology. Sarah’s passion and education led her to a career in a variety of high impact organizations such as the Young Women’s Christian Association, the Center Against Self Destructive Behavior, and the Seattle Parks and Recreation. Her longest tenure was at the Seattle Parks and Recreation where she aggressively grew her 18-year career in numerous capacities ranging from an Administrative Specialist to a Recreation and Youth Leader and finishing as a Grants and Contracts Manager where she oversaw the Families and Education Levy. Sarah’s most recent role as the Director of Programming and Events was at a Production, Marketing, and Event Management Company called the Piranha Blonde. Sarah’s broad professional expertise with an emphasis on the nonprofit sector transcends into her volunteer work. With her passion for community building and problem-solving, she participates in numerous organizations such as Mary’s Place, the Crisis Clinic, CASA as a court-appointed special advocate, Head for a Cure Foundation, Powerful Voices, the Center Against Self Destructive Behavior as a Gang Intervention liaison, and the Queen Anne Community Center with a focus on chairing and coordinating fundraising
Megan Tay
Board Member | Treasurer
Megan was born and raised in Bellevue and has a BA in Marketing from the University of Notre Dame. With over 25 years in the insurance industry, Megan currently works with Truluma, where she has been since 2006, in the disability brokerage arena designing leading-edge income and asset protection solutions for brokers and financial advisors’ clients. Prior to Truluma, Megan worked with UnumProvident Seattle for over 8 years helping launch new products for the Seattle and Alaska markets before moving to London to grow the UK market. Megan is an avid volunteer and is a past Board member of the Open Window School, serving on both the Finance and DEI Committees. She currently lives in Bellevue with her husband and two children. When she’s not juggling work and shuttling the kids, you can find Megan on a soccer field, on her Peloton, finding new recipes, or travelling overseas.
Jeanne Ballot
Board Member | Communications Chair
Born in New York, Jeanne Ballot grew up in Barrington, IL, a Chicago suburb, moved to Seattle in 2005 and to Mercer Island in 2010. Jeanne is married to Kevin Millison and is the proud stepmother of two college students, mom of two middle schoolers, and pseudo-mom for one dog, two cats and, over the years, numerous fish. She has a BA in English from the University of Notre Dame and an MA in Communications Management from the Annenberg School at the University of Southern California. Jeanne started her career in the non-profit sector in Chicago and Los Angeles, working on higher education and public policy issues before transitioning to corporate communications with the Boeing Company. Jeanne started working with the Seattle Clemency Project writing grant proposals in 2018 and joined the staff as Development Director in January 2019. Jeanne is a past board member of the Sunnybeam School and Mercer Island Girls Lacrosse Club. She enjoys travel, theater, tennis and spending time at Hood Canal.
Linda Floyd
Board Member | Secretary
Linda Floyd grew up in Victoria, B.C. and currently lives in Seattle. She graduated with a BA from York University in Toronto and traveled the world extensively in her 20s before settling in Dubai where she worked as a television and radio announcer for Dubai television and an associate producer for Star TV. When she returned to Canada she worked for the Immigrant Services Society in Vancouver and continued work with immigrant and refugee populations when she moved to Seattle in 1998. While living with her family in India from 2007 – 2009, Linda volunteered with organizations working to improve the lives of women and girls in underserved communities. When she returned to the U.S. in 2009 she co-founded the Kiran Anjali Project, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting projects in India that provide high quality education and support for girls and young women furthest from economic justice. Linda has served on various boards including the Stanley Ann Dunham Scholarship Fund which honors President Obama’s mother, a graduate of Mercer Island High School, by providing scholarships to young women graduating from Chief Sealth International High School, Mercer Island High School, and Rainier Beach High School.
Jessica Garcia
Board Member | Grants Chair
Jessica was born in Bolivia and grew up in the Seattle area, graduating from Shorewood High School and the University of Washington where she received a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering. After college and a few eye-opening internships, she ran towards the tech industry and spent eleven years at Microsoft working in Denver, Sydney, and London before boomeranging back to the PNW. Jessica spent eight years as a consultant and Chief Operating Officer for a small consulting firm and another five years at Tableau Software. During the pandemic, she started her own women’s leadership coaching and consulting practice and now runs women’s leadership programs. Jessica has a passion for supporting women in male-dominated industries (e.g., tech, manufacturing, etc.) having spent a good portion of her career being the only woman in the room. She wants to bridge the divide between women in technical roles and leadership positions. Jessica volunteers as a panelist and panel moderator for Ignite Worldwide and now serves on their advisory board. She has two kids (Elly and Zack), a husband (Jay), and a cat (Bengie) who once wound up in Bellingham, but that’s a story for another day. She is a hockey Mom who loves traveling, Lagree, decaf Americanos, podcasts, and recently became mildly obsessed with making team swag for her kids’ teams.
Julie Yee
Board Member | Membership Chair
Julie Yee is a Philadelphia native who lived in San Francisco for five years before moving to Seattle in 2000. She has been committed to philanthropic service over the past two decades in a variety of roles including board leadership, nominations, and fundraising with a special interest in nonprofit formation and governance. When she is not volunteering, she advises clients in her estate planning practice and handles operations for a closely-held real estate venture. She received her B.A. in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania, J.D. from Seattle University and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Washington. Julie currently resides in NE Seattle with her husband and three children, and enjoys trying new recipes, gardening, tennis and yoga.
Melike Alpay
Board Member | Grants Chair Elect
Melike Alpay was born in Berlin, Germany, and grew up in Istanbul, Turkey. She has an undergraduate degree from Istanbul University School of Law, holds a J.D. from Seattle University Law School, and completed her Master’s for an LL.M. degree at the University of London. Melike has almost 20 years of professional experience across Europe, the Middle East, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Her legal experience spanned project development, project finance, and international arbitration prior to focusing on energy and infrastructure through her wind adventure at Vestas, the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturer. Melike has been with the company for more than 10 years, most recently as Corporate Counsel for Vestas American Wind Technology, frequently explaining her job as a “wind lawyer” since then. Melike has two daughters and enjoys cooking, travelling, yoga, and skiing with her family. Since moving to Mercer Island in 2016, she has enjoyed being a part of the local community, previously serving on the parent board of the Sunnybeam School of Mercer Island and volunteering with the Girl Scouts.
Kimberly Miyazawa Frank, J.D.

Kimberly Miyazawa Frank, J.D. leads a global organizational development strategy consultancy, kimberlyfrank.com. Her 30+ years of experience across sectors and industries have centered on driving transformational change by addressing policy and redesigning systems. In the community, Kimberly serves on the national board of Gift of Adoption, as the board president of SeaVuria – Seattle, the president of the Mercer Island High School PTSA, and the secretary of the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Foundation. She is a long-time member of the Japanese American Citizens League of Seattle. Past board service includes the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society, and the Better Business Bureau, president of the Junior League of Honolulu, chair of the Honolulu Symphony Society, trustee for St. Andrew’s Schools, and co-vice president of DEI for the Mercer Island School District’s PTA Council. Kimberly holds a JD from Rutgers School of Law and a BS from Miami University. She is also an alumna of Seattle’s Leadership Tomorrow Impact program. Kimberly was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. She, her husband Trey, and their three children now reside in Mercer Island, WA.

Alyson Burks
Co-Founder | Board Member Emeritus
Aly is originally from Portola Valley, CA and grew up in New Canaan, CT. As an adult, she has lived in New York City, Washington DC and moved to the Seattle area in 2008. She currently lives in Mercer Island, WA with her husband and four children. She graduated from Dartmouth College with a BA in Psychology and a minor in French. After roles in finance and sales for JPMorgan Chase and The Estée Lauder Companies, she began ARB Real Estate Services, a rental real estate investment and management company from 2009-2021. She recently began a new professional chapter, operating and managing investments for a private family financial office company, The Ryder Family Office, LLC. On the volunteer side, apart from Pitch Your Peers, she is active in her local community, serving on the Mercer Island School District’s PTA Council, the District’s Instructional Materials Committee, Lakeridge Elementary’s Principal Advisory Council, and as a 7th Grade Advisor for National Charity League. Aly also enjoys singing — she performs around the area as a member of the rock cover band, MIMX, and the vocals/keys duo, The Small Bandits. You can find her around town walking Jack the Big Yellow Dog, taxiing her children and adventuring with her family.
Catherine Booms
Board Member Emeritus
Catherine grew up in Minneapolis, MN and has loved living in Seattle since 2007. She works part-time as a hospitalist physician at EvergreenHealth and full-time as a mother to two young boys. After graduating from Cornell University, Catherine worked in health care quality for seven years before attending the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed an internal medicine residency at the University of Washington in 2010. Between medical school and residency, Catherine returned to health care policy working on the health care redesign in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. During her tenure in New Orleans, she earned a Master’s in Public Health in Health Systems Management from Tulane University. Catherine is active in her children’s school, The Evergreen School, volunteering in the classroom, leading school tours, serving as Co-President of the Parent Guardian Association during the 2019-2020 school year, and now sits on The Evergreen School Board of Trustees. She also is active with the Washington chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility and serves on the Economic Inequity Task Force.
Dina Wampold
Board Member Emeritus
Dina moved to Seattle from Philadelphia as a young child and now resides on Mercer Island with her husband and 3 children. Before getting married and starting a family she worked in retail with The Gap Inc. which took her to San Diego in store management and then to San Francisco as a Merchandiser for the Women’s Division. She found her way back to Seattle where she worked at Eddie Bauer as a Catalog Merchandiser, re-kindled a friendship with a high school friend who turned into her husband and chose to take on the role as full-time caregiver to their children. Giving back has always been a part of Dina’s life journey. She was a founding board member for The Ruby Room, has served on the board of University Child Development School for 6 years, is a parent advisor for The Island Friends Jr. Guild and is an active volunteer at her children’s school. She currently has her own personal styling business and loves helping her clients look and feel their best.
